Lloyd Bore were commissioned to undertake design work to support a planning application for a development of quality apartments close to the seafront.
Working with the projects architects, the design was evolved to reflect the simple, location-bound language of waves, groynes, and promenade, where the grassed waves roll toward the buildings, intercepted by timber groynes, containing white and blue planting, reminiscent of foamy water.
The plants were chosen for their ability to withstand the harsh, maritime conditions of the area.
