In February 2013 planning permission was granted for a brand new purpose-built SEN School at The Young Epilepsy Centre, Lingfield.
Lloydbore worked closely with Lee Evans Partnership in delivering the planning permission. The state of the art SEN school replaced a previously outdated school facility. Designed to cater for children of all ages, the new school complex was developed in close collaboration with the school and teaching staff to ensure the requirements of a very specific teaching environment were achieved.
The site is highly sensitive in landscape terms, being within Green Belt and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and surrounded by attractive, mature tree cover.
Lloydbore contributed to the scheme by undertaking arboricultural and ecological surveys and completing a detailed Landscape Character and Visual Appraisal to inform the design work.
