An award winning project (Civic Trust Awards 2013), led by Keith Williams Architects, this new theatre and public realm space has contributed an exciting and dramatic urban form to the historic core of Canterbury.
As a member of the design team, Lloydbore were involved in the design development of the project’s external spaces, and undertook ecological survey work to inform planning decisions.
The design of the external environment includes provision of a new footpath which improves local pedestrian connectivity between the City Centre and Solly’s Orchard, which is an historic public space to the north.
The public realm design alongside the River Stour incorporates a new tree avenue and seating areas taking advantage of stunning views along the river.
