Lloydbore have provided landscape and ecology services on behalf of Linkcity for a new mixed use leisure quarter in the Kingsmead area of Canterbury City Centre. The project has recently been granted planning consent by Canterbury City Council.

The Kingsmead site formerly comprised a former coach park, Serco depot and other parcels of land. It will be redeveloped for a multiplex cinema, restaurants, indoor leisure outlets, student accommodation and other high quality private residential accommodation.

The proposals also include a public area that is intended to become the heart of the leisure aspect of the scheme, hosting a variety of events, including markets and local theatre productions. It also features enhancements to the existing riverside walk along part of the River Stour.
